As per my experience, it is feasible. If the interaction between nanoparticles and the functional moiety is excellent, it can be achieved in very short time, but in a case of very less affinity, the chances of reversal of functionalization or anti-agglomeration may take place.

Hi Omkar, I think we must be more explicit with the readers especially in discussion sections. If the method is suitable, for example, then which molecules for example will have more affinity, let's give some examples, ferrites like "magnetite" can be synthesized from expensive Fe(acac)3 in the presence of oleates and surfactants [Ultrasonics Sonochemistry 15 (2008) 257–264], monodentate or bidentate configuration is likely expected but what about scaling up and PDI values, I do not believe this method will produce huge amounts of ferrites for future apps. Let's see and wait for more opinions.
