I would like to use Agrobacterium tumefaciens AGL10 for fungal transformation. Normally, I am using Agrobacterium tumefaciens AGL1. I am wondering whether I can use AGL10 for fungal transformation as well.
Yep surely. I have tried AGL1 and it can transform Zymoseptoria. However i found that in comparison to GV3101 and AGL1, EHA105 gives higher transformation efficiencies. However you can try to optimise co cultivation times or acetosyringone concentrations or other parameters to improve efficiency of AGL1. For AMT parameters check the Nature protocol on AMT of Aspergillus Awamori 2008 and papers by Mechlise 2005 and 2006.
