Pigments in the oriental hornet’s cuticle absorb solar energy that is turned into electrical energy. Researchers can find the efficiency of electricity conversion by hornet's yellow pigment. Biologically, It can be used on vagitations, algies etc. as a natural source of solar electricity conversion. Here, efficiency is important.

This is true that yellow portion of the hornet's cuticles / pigments collects solar energy and the brown tissues get it convert into electricity. The efficiency remains less than 0.50%.
But, it's interesting to explore a bio-chemical photovoaltic phenomenon. It enrich us with a scientific stem. Universe consists of mass, energy and electomagnetic radiation wave's, which all get physically reactive as to attain equilibrium or stability. As, it is also true that, the sunlight is electromagnetic radiation given off by the Sun, in particular infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light.
