The cell cycle is a defined and molecularly investigated process that leads different type of cell's fate so they grow, differentiate, and transfer they information to next generations, but is it possible the cell cycle be reversed and what will be the crucial factors in checkpoints?
in this case I think it could be explained by the dynamic and thermodynamic of system. cycle tends to get the most stable state leading process to reach negative entropy ..that's limitations or specific capacity of cellular system against internal and external regulating tensions

Do you mean reversal along the same path normally taken in going from a resting, non-dividing (stable) cell to-and-through cytokinesis; or an alternate path that leads from anyone or more stage(s) of the cell cycle to a resting non-dividing cell? Also, do you mean cell-cycle reversal in the full extent of the path taken, or reversal from one defined stage to a most previous stage?
