I'm willing to explore the possible use of AZ31 alloy in components. But is it commercially available particularly as a powder ? so that PM method can be followed.
Production of magnesium, aluminum and titanium alloys by means of powder metallurgy is either very difficult or impossible due to the extreme tendency of these elements to oxidation. Powder preparation alone is very problematic because all these powders are pyrophoric.

Also to Vadim, while Mg is pretty rarely used, you should know titanium alloy powder metallurgy is extremely common, and has been finding industrial application for decades.
