I am using a mixed model analysis with a large unbalanced dataset, looking at 3 categorical predictors and a binary outcome. I want to use the random effects model, REWB version as advocated by Bell, Fairbrother, & Jones (2018). Can I fit these models using common R packages and what options should I choose? I cannot use the panelR package for technical reasons.
First, if the response variable is binary so you should be using logistic regression. Your RHS of the model will be the same as if the response wasn't binary. Now I don't have any knowledge of REWB but you might check the link below:
