I am preparing nanoliposomes for the encapsulation of some vitamins. As liposomes are in the form of aqueous dispersion, I would like to know the possibility to carry FTIR on those liposomes? The aim of the FTIR is to verify if the the vitamins have been successfully encapsulated in the nanoliposomes?

It is possible to record FTIR of liquid sample, but in your case I think water will give very strong signal which may completely obsecure other peaks.
I have another concern here. Even if you get clean spectrum, how can you come to the conclusion that the vitamins are inside the liposome not in the solution? Did you remove the unencapsulated vitamins through other means?
Yes you can perform FTIR for liquid samples however if you are verifying the vitamins encapsulated in matrix by FTIR is wrong. FTIR will give you details about compatibility with API and excipients. I would suggest you to perform entrappment efficiency in order to verify vitamins that are encapsulated in it.
