I am working with shadow detection in SAR images and it would be useful for my approach to have incidence angle information of the SAR images analysed. The images which I found in Sandia Laboratories database are in .ntf and .gff formats and I would like to know if it is possible to extract that information from these files in MATLAB. To open .gff files , Sandia provides some MATLAB codes to do so and I see that there is a header containing several information, but I am not able to say what each parameter correponds to. What I am looking for is something as the image below, where black regions correpond to lower incidence angles and white regions, to higher incidence angles.
The GFF files should have a field something like "DesGrazAngle" which is the nominal grazing angle, which is the complement of the incident angle. The NITF files should have something similar. Use the Matlab NITF file reader to access the data.

Thanks for your answer! I did find the "DesGrazAngle" parameter in GFF files, but I didn't in NITF files. Anyway, does this DesGrazAngle mean that the incident angle is the same in all points of the image?
