We are working on the mathematical modeling of the decomposition of organic residues for the realization of a reactor of a product similar to composting in approximately 24 to 48 hours, although first I would like to know if it is feasible and if there are previous works on this topic. Composting per definition is an aerobic, exothermic, controlled biological degradation and conversion process including a thermophilic phase. Organic matter is degraded (mineralisation) and converted into stable humic compounds (humification).
This process needs time! To produce high quality compost a period of 8-12 weeks is necessary.
The problem by speeding up the process is that mineralisation will be enhanced ==> organic matter will be transformed mainly into CO2, H2O and some microbial biomass. Thus no humification will be possible.
The endproduct of speeding up may be (if there is enough moisture and oxygen during processing as well as a balanced nutrient ration in the feedstock mixture) a stable, mineralised material containing some nutrients - but NEVER high quality compost.
@ Diego, the 24 hour composting machine is available. It is actually a fryer, simply removes water and other volatile components out of the organic material thrown into it for composting. There is no microbial proliferation. If packed and kept, it will stay as non-biodegradable matter.
The decomposition is performed by bacteria and fungi acting on the surface of the material to be decomposed. That way, if you put the organic waste in the blender and add some detritivorous animals like earth worms, you will get a faster result, but I don't know if 24 hours will be enough.

24 hours time is too short for decomposition by microorganism. Many organic waste converters are available for early decomposition of biodegradable waste.

Diego Betancourt, the simple answer is no. Trying to achieve a product "similar to composting" in 24 hours ignores the inherent (and critical) biological process. Those claiming to make compost in 24 hours are most likely trying to sell you something.
NOT. Compost have humic and fulvic acids which cannot be obtain for 24-48 hours.
Diego Betancourt It is difficult but not impossible. You may go for accelerated degradation process in weatherometer or provide the simulated parameters. If further information maybe provided, I may be able to provide more insight.

By Speeding of the process, we can not obtain similar product because by this humified material become lessor negligible .
You can simply compared the compost and vermicompost. Vermicompost take more time as compared to compost for organic material degradation, therefore more humic acid and enriched nutrient in vermicompost as comapred to compost.
