Is it possible to measure the Ground contact time while jumping with the gopro cam with 240 fps ?
I'm pretty sure it is possible.
I used the program 'meausre dynamics'. You just need to mark the first and the last frame, where the contact is visible. Then you can calculate the time that has passed in between the difference of those pictures. Have a look at the file (in german), but there are some picutres an calculations that might help.

Hi Mohamed, Yes this should be possible, 240 FPS will give you fairly accurate results.
This will be very easy in a video analysis software such as Dartfish or Quintic (you can get a free trial of Dartfish online). Or as suggested above if you can do frame by frame scrolling in the Gopro software, simple count the number of frames between first and last contact and then multiply the number of frames by 0.00416667 (which is the time per frame).
