In XRD Bragg's reflections are from characteristic planes which have typical organizational and orientations order and thereby definite degree of crystallinity.

If the structure is well ordered on a large scale you will see superstructure reflections (same space group but larger unit cell) or a change in the space group (different but related space group symmetry, Fm-3m turning into Pm-3m for example).
The smaller the ordered domains or the less pronounced the ordering the more difficult it becomes to observe.
