I don´t have experience with fault plane solutions from seismic data but I have worked with fault plane solutions from kinematic data. From the geological point of view, I would think that it is not possible to have the same direction for both axes for a single event. However, it is common to have this coincidence for a single location. In this case, you can interpret that as the presence of two populations recording different events (e.g., extension due to relaxation after a compressional event). Therefore, I would look on the data and analyse how these equivalent directions of P and T axes are related to each other in space (e.g., for a single fault, you could see different kinematics regarding different segments) and time (were both P and T axes recorded at the exact same time?)

I also feel No for the same earthquake. Although it make sense,  what Sebastian suggested, that there may be possiblilty for one location rather than single earthquake.
