Respected Teachers & Friends,

Please help me to get a solution of this problem. Is it possible to have fourier sine or cosine series representation for a function f(x), with two sets of basis functions {ω1, ω2, ω3, ......, ωn, ......} and {ξ1, ξ2, ξ3, ......, ξn, ......} (as shown in figure) ?? Where ωn and ξn are Independent over the domain of integration. If yes, what will be the Orthogonality principle for such fourier series, so that I can evaluate the fourier coefficients an and bn ??

Please note : I am NOT talking about a 2-D fourier series. I have searched a lot in internet to get relevant literature, but could NOT. Can anybody kindly suggest me kindly, some literature that discuss about this particular kind of problem ??

Thank you

Soumen
