Hi,
I am doing a buckling analysis of a tube with internal pressure with a unit load of 0.1 MPa. When I go to results I get to see the buckling load for the first buckling shape. However, I would like to see all other buckling shapes as well, and at what pressure they will appear. Is that possible, and how do I request how many nodal diameters I would like to see?
Picture attached is an illustration of what I would expect to get as output (many nodal diameters).

David Forrestad Swensen Can you share the finite element model in an appropriate format?
I’m not exactly sure how to do this directly in ABAQUS, but I have used passive ways to do it. Once you've exported your animation as a .mov file, you can process it further. After exporting the .mov file from your ABAQUS results, you can work on the video for presentation. If you need to extract specific frames or edit the video, you can use a Python script with libraries like OpenCV or moviepy. These tools can help you extract all movie frames. Every animation have frames, that are equal to the number of successfull iteration from abaqus .sta file. This approach has been helpful for me in the past for getting all the buckling shapes and deformed shapes as well. Unfortunately, I do not have the source code at the moment; otherwise, I would have shared it with you. Still if you need help, let me know!
David Forrestad Swensen Can you provide the geometrical (i.e. radius, height, thickness) and physical properties (Young's modulus, Poisson ratio) of the cylinder? What are the boundary conditions?
