Folks, Researchers at University of Alberta have found that Piriformospora indica can stimulate improved canola growth. They identify better Phosphorus metabolism and health responses.
Dear Iraj, AMF mycorrhizae do not form symbiosis with rape seed. As a potential alternative you might be able to use Piriformospora indica which forms mycorrhizal associations but is laboratory isolated and cultivatable. Do a review of literature and find a source of the fungus and try it out on rape seed. Alternatively isolate endophytic fungi and bacteria and test them for growth promotion. Piriformospora indica is beneficial on several plant species and it would be contribution if it can be used on rape seed. It is known for increasing salt issues which might prevail under your climate. Hope this helpful. Sincerely,

Dear Iraj and Qiang,
I would suggest purchase of the type strain originally isolated by Dr. Verma. You might also communicate directly with the laboratory and researchers actively involved with the discovery.
In the United States it is American Type Culture Collection ATCC 204458 and for Germany the culture is designated as DSM11827 in Braunschweig.
The fungus can grown on common cultural media such as potato dextrose agar and cultures might best be maintained on live plants also.
Similar fungi might be procured in your own condition which would something to consider also. In regard to this fungus it is proven to greatly aid plant growth under a variety of stresses. I am not aware of anyone working with it on rape seed and brassicas but it might make sense especially considering the limitation of AMF on brassicas.

Another good citation pointing to AMF Piriformospora indica and rhizobia as key symbiosis which can work together.
A picture can say 1000 words the plant on right is inoculated with Piriformspora indica and the one on the left non inoculated. This is from canola Brassica napus work in University of Alberta. Thought you might appreciate the potential which seems to be demonstrated in the crop plants you seem interested in.
Why there is optional coexistence in rapeseed? But compulsive coexistence with mycorrhizal fungi does not occur in rapeseed?
One of the disadvantages of pathogenic parasitism is the pathogen kills off the host and when the meal is gone then what. After a host is dead the decomposing communities can replace the parasite. Because of this symbiosis probably developed as win win resolution. Each component give up independence for synergetic benefits of living together with joint purpose. The obligate symbiosis is an arrangement but there are probably intermediary relationships which the symbiotic retains more ability for independent living. In the development of Acremonium endophytes they originally were seed replacement pathogens but lost this capacity and retain their existance as endophytes which confer advantages to the host plant they can be seedborne but take on positive role rather than a pathogenic one. Interestly the role of endophyte is one to enhance the defensive characters in the animal and insect consumers. These changes are call evolutionary series and are quite interesting.
