Here is the Reviewer's remarks on my manuscript : Metabolic analysis and cell death monitoring could be reinforced by a second method and / or by analysing metabolic changes in the animals.
Basically, we will do cell death detection by TUNNEL on the tissue section. But for the metabolic analysis, is it possible to do on the whole tissue or tissue section slide ?

To the best of my knowledge, MTT assay is for cells in suspension. For tissue sections you may try G6-PDH (Glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase) enzyme detection assay. This is a qualitative assay to be done on fresh frozen tissue sections taken on a cryocut. G6 PDH enzyme is involved in cell survival and glycolysis- ATP production via Pentose phosphate pathway ( PPP). All the best!
