Dear collage

I am writing because I would like to my make my first meta analyse on data from study on ferlization effect on mites. I have couple of question.

Can I compare response ratios (log (treament/control)), that were calculate on different parametr (e.g. abudance and density)?

Among studies, that I found only in two authors provide SD and SE. Is there any alternative to inverse-variance weighting? Alone response ratio would be enough to make analyse?
