I have recorded the EEG signals in rat, I have got only two waves one is parietal and occipital waves. Is it good enough to analyze and interpret only with these two waves? how to analyse these data?
Hi Sakthivel, it all depends on what you are investigating, if you are looking to perform signal localisation using LORETA or similar system you will be dissapointed as two sensors do not carry enough spatial information to localise. Can you elaborate any further as to what analysis you wish to perform?
I am not looking for signal localisation. I am working on effect of stress on cognitive impairment, so just i want to check what difference occurs between control and stressed animals in the brain waves frequency and amplitudes. do you have any idea other then frequency and amplitude what else we can analyze in EEG waves for this study?
You beat me to it Lo! I agree, ERP analysis is a perfect candidate for data, do you have time locked stimulation data to match up the events for averaging or are you going down the pattern recognition path?
