yes, that is necessary, if you didnt purify biodiesel sample after washing. it effecys on your blending ratio and might be eggect on combustions in engine too.
Water washing is a part of step under biodiesel production which should be done before it blend with diesel. Water washing only requires if you were employed homogeneous catalyst. Cause, homogeneous catalyst can be separated from FAME due to their solubility. Water wahsing is done to extract polar homogeneous catalyst and should remove waste water via gravity separation followed by heating at 110 degree of celcius for 10 minutes.
After that you obtained purified biodiesel then blending process can be done at 2000 rpm for 15 minutes. After the blending it is not a problem heating the solution at 110°C but it not necessary. Please refer some of my articles
