In both cases, of RO and distilled water impurities and some ions are removed. Among these two, distilled water is a high purification water since minerals are also being removed along with impurities. For this you may google it. And from the best of my knowledge water is used in Hammers method. But to proceed you must be cautious about which process you are adopting.
