It may have limited value, as it offers less visibility and academic recognition compared to indexed journals. Though it can still contribute to niche or emerging fields.
I got 4 research publication. None of them are published on scopus indexed journals .Though I got 5 citation in different published article from scopus journals. Joelash Rey Honra , What's your view on this?
Dear Md. Sefatul Islam Looking at your list I see that you were able to avoid predatory journals, and I see some comforting/good things when it comes to the journals you published in:
-Your paper in “International Journal of Current Educational Studies (IJCES)” is visible in Google Scholar. The journal is a member of DOAJ https://doaj.org/toc/2822-4914
-Your paper in “Edukasiana: Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan” (Journal of Educational Innovation has a genuine DOI assigned. It is nicely indexed in Google Scholar and free of charge
-Your paper in “Indonesian Journal of Education Research (IJoER)” is visible in Google Scholar and they assign a DOI to their papers
-Your paper in “International Journal on Studies in Education (IJonSE)” ISSN: 2690-7909 IS properly indexed in Clarivate’s ESCI and they are listed as level 1 in the Norwegian Register (which is a good indication for the reliability of the journal) https://kanalregister.hkdir.no/publiseringskanaler/KanalTidsskriftInfo.action?id=502152
All and all not that bad I would say. A pretty good base to move further.
Thank you very much for your detailed response and for taking the time to evaluate my list of publications. As a post-grad student, It means a lot to me. I’m glad to hear that the journals I’ve selected have good visibility and indexing though those are not indexed in scopus. And I appreciate the reassurance regarding their reliability.
Thanks again for your encouraging words and guidance.
Article USEFULNESS OF VIBRATION ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES AND SENSORS TO I...
This is my first article published in a non-Scopus indexed journal, but has 2 citations from Scopus indexed journals. Sometimes it depends on the topic rather than the impact of the journal. Sincerely, Hamid.
This is kind of same for me. I got 4 research publication. None of them are published on scopus indexed journals .Though I got 6 citation in different published article from scopus indexed journals, most of them are Q1.
I ask this question to know what researcher think about this. I got positive response.
I believe, as an early research enthusiast it is completely ok to publish in a non scopus indexed journal.
