I have synthesized a zinc complex of imidazole Schiff base having OH group. What are the major peaks identified after complex formation. And my Schiff base having 3 donor sites. 2 Nitrogen and 1 Oxygen and metal:ligand is 1:2 and zinc is 6 coordinated. How intepret the IR of zinc imidazole Schiff base complex ?

Thank you for sharing your question with the RG community. Since in the IR spectrum the vibrations of functional groups cause the bands, I assume that the IR spectra of ligand (free Schiff base) and complex do not differ much in the general band pattern. What differences did you observe?
Nevertheless, a shift of the band position can occur due to the binding to the metal. (O-H: 3000-3500 cm-1, C=O: approx. 1700 cm-1, C=N: approx. 1600 cm-1) The signals of the M-O and M-N bonds usually occur at low frequencies.
For a competent answer it would be very helpful if you could give us more information about your substances, e.g. the structure of the Schiff base or the IR spectra. You already seem to be sure how the Zn2+ is coordinated. Do you have single crystal or other analytical data to confirm this statement?

Check it Metal-Nitrogen Peaks was presented in finger print region.
May be imine bond has disturbed after the metalation proecess.

In general, the FT-IR spectra of characteristic stretching frequencies for OH, aliphatic C-H and C=N at, respectively, ~3433, ~2960, and ~1629 cm−1.
After the complexation, the peaks at ~1629 and ~1626 cm−1 of ligand C-N stretching, which will shift to ~1612 and ~1610 cm−1, an approximately ~16 cm−1 shift, confirming the coordination with metal mostly.
In the case of OH you can't see any changes due to the presence of Water or alcoholic solvents.
