I agree with my esteemed colleague's suggestions and would add

- anti-bureaucratic or "low bureaucratic" practice

- citizen focused and citizen inclusive practice

- anti-racism and equality

- measuring outputs, outcomes, efficiency and effectiveness

- leadership

- the history of public administration (from which we can still learn a lot)

- managing politicians (upward management)

- legal frameworks

- using local, regional, national and international platforms effectively

- project management and implementation

- social media (already implied by our colleague)

I think it is about time, that someone studied how public administration changed and must change to manage both global market, social media and open boarders.

Take just the following reallife example - someone working as IT-administrator / -consultent can choose where he wants to live, while working for a firm sitting i Seattle. He chose Norway and is himself of German nationality. His girlfriend and mother of their little son, going to kindergarden, lives in Switzerland.

Where does he pay taxes (probably Norway), who is responsible for his welfare (as long as he is officially living in Norway and paying taxes here, Norway), his son has a place in kindergarden in both countries, i.e. Switzerland and Norway. Of course, they will soon have to choose where they want to settle...

Another exampler, also reallife - a consultant with possibility to work wherever she pleases, chooses to live on her boat and is sailing the seven seas, mostly around the equator. Cheap living. As long as she keeps moving and returns a certain number of times to "her" country, she can still count as citizen there, pays taxes there and use social infrastructure should she need to. BUT she is hardly ever spending money there or contributing to the country because she is actually living abroad.

I mean, that, with all these open boarders and with globalization which still makes it easy to outscource economics to "cheap" countries, there will come a time, where both local administration and local politics will loose mandate, will loose the possibility to actually DO something. I believe that NGO are more and more important to achieve something...

Sorry, just some thoughts

The local and global dynamics in virtually every sub-field of administration constantly expand the study-scope of it. As noted by others, E-approach to public management has inject new issues such as e-participation at both the national and international levels. Hence, the new public administration (NPM) is geared towards responding to the socio-economic and political development.

It would be interesting to measure the contribution of parliament in terms of size, multi party politicism

Specifically in public administration New Public Governance/Versus/ New Public Management must be learned, specifically in social sciences - Welfare State models relation to Public administration models.

It is important to answer the question of how the administration responds to the challenges of today. The world is becoming more and more digital, but is the administration keeping up with it?

public private partnership,human relations approach, policy-making, political economy, , people's participation in decision-making, comparative public administration, decentralization, emerging changes in the bureaucratic behavior and pattern. Public accountability, politics and bureaucracy dichotomy.

the principle of the issue recognized that guide to actions should be taken in order to improve their condition and regard it is the issue and solving. thus depending on different condition. we are necessary, for implementing many activities of policy maker, due to its being regarded as a tool and to actor particular way

Its very important but we should focus new Ideas to solve traditional and modern problems In light of the IT and changing the role of Government

We should think of new technology in administration as a means of improving public services. Citizens' time is a non-renewable resource, which is why we need to look for ways to save time for those using public services. It is worth focusing research on positive examples of such actions.

Any definition of administration will reflect this simple assertion i.e. the mobilization of human efforts and material resources towards the achievement of a specific goals. In the face of changing internal, regional and global realities, I want to suggest that it is much important to study the development of the discipline. The area of focus; politics and administration dichotomy, regional integration and and globalization are two phenomena that have challenged the pre-existing global order based upon sovereign states since the beginning of the twenty-first century. As a matter of fact, the scope of administration is getting wider than before, the two processes (of globalization and regional tendencies) deeply affect the stability of Westphalian state system(politics and administration), thus contributing to both disorder and a new global order.

Según mi experiencia en la administración pública se debe estudiar su comportamiento con el gobierno abierto, porque la apertura gubernamental todavía representa trabas para lograr la participación efectiva de la población.

Definitely yes, Public Administration is an area of study like any other areas that requires development in order to cope and align with the new norms and practices in the actual world.

In the 21st Century for example, we are living in a digital way of life, almost every aspect of human life requires technology in order to work and have good results. The question is "are the processes and structures of governments nt and other institutions still relevant to this new age?" That is in regards to the administration of services necessary for the needs of the Public.

The focus should be on best methodological approaches to effectively deliver services to the people, strategies to reduce poverty among the people, job creation and ways to address insecurity in the contemporary world.

Yolanda Ngidi In my opinion, today the focus of the study in the discipline of Public Administration should be 'Good Governance'. Presently, whatever policies are being implemented through whatever approach, methodology, strategy, our ultimate aim is to achieve the milestone of Good Governance.

It is very important to study particularly the New role of Government and new paradigm of Public Administration

As a discipline, Public Administration is linked to the pursuit of public good through the enhancement of civil society and social justice in order to make life more acceptable for citizens through the work done by officials within government institutions
