Yes, necessary, any system first needs the principal elements for the purpose of building, and then come the other complementary elements. Therefore, collaboration with the principal researchers and experienced experts is the first step to achieving solid construction.

Of course, the inexperienced learns from the experienced. Also, two heads or more heads are better than one. These emphasizes the need for collaborations and teamwork in research. Actually I am considering mutual academic cooperation as a holy mission due to the huge exchange of knowledge and experiences and creating great brain tank that contains different dimensions and directions. In Europe, departments always enforcing students to work as a research group under umbrella of a principal scientist as a supervisors keeping into account different students nationalities, cultures, speaking languages, behaviors and traits, really I lived very amazing time interval with very amazing group of 27 Ph.D. students from different places on the Earth.

In my opinion, to have the utmost attention it is necessary to write original and interesting work. If, conversely, poor quality works are written then it is better to involve famous people. When you involved celebrities, journals and referees are much more flexible in evaluating and publishing work. To make experience it is also necessary to work (daily also through internet) with experienced scientists, mainly on data processing and analysis. But to write a scientific work, there is a need for the substance, that is, the object of the work must be very important, a discovery is a discovery. The form of the presentation is absolutely secondary.

Some sort of vagueness in this question. First, what do you mean by ‘principal researchers’? Well recognised researchers in a field? I am asking because we use ‘principal researchers’ when we talk about specific projects (e.g. for grant x-y is the proposer, so the ‘principal researcher’ you do not get to work for that specific project if you do not work/collaborate with the principal researcher) not about whole fields, but I have the impression that you had in mind ‘whole fields’ when asking this question. If we speak about a whole field, well, it depends. Is always good to be in some sort of network, and to know people well esteemed in the field. More people you know, better attention you will probably get, although there is a huge difference between the fields, probably engineering depending exclusively on collaboration (& huge projects), while social sciences are more suitable for individual work or projects. Despite what people said above, I believe that due to the particularities of work in social sciences, it is often quite difficult to produce work via collaboration. Otherwise, & regardless of the field we speak, if you want more attention, I believe that it is very important the medium (outlet) where you publish. You do not necessarily need to have had produced something in ‘collaboration’ to make it through a prestigious outlet and to get attention, just good and original work which survives blind review. And even if you published collaborative work and this got attention because you teamed with ‘principal researchers’, I guess that at one point people would want to know what you have produced yourself, in order to extend (& expand) the initial attention.

If you're working on something original, then you don't need to collaborate with other researchers. If you're working on a topic to which established researchers have already made notable contributions, then you need to collaborate with those researchers.

The scientific truth is a giant structure that needs to be shared by anyone who has good experience

I do agree with your point of view, exactly as you mentioned ‘whole fields’ , I just try to extend scientific bridges between "principal scientists or researchers" and young researchers in order to focus light and effort in a specific research point followed by reducing cost and time.

Collaboration of experienced with inexperienced researchers help the later to learn faster and gain mastery of conducting and reporting researches done. Once experienced is gained, he might not necessarily need such collaborations again

Sometimes it's necessary with number of journals.

Sharing researches with others has many advantages. I think collaborating with leading researchers can bring a researcher to fame faster.

Yes, collaboration with principal researchers is beneficial and necessary for beginners.

From my viewpoint, it is necessary to collaborate with the principal researchers not for getting attention, but for getting help from themselves in doing quality research.
