I have published my paper in Springer Journal. I have the full paper with me. But I have transffered the copyrights to Springer. Springer charges for my paper. Now Can I publish my full paper in Research Gate?
This depends on the rules of the journal in the copyright agreement you have signed.. Often the journal allows a "pre-publication" version to be placed on sites like ResearchGate. But this is not always true.
Hi Michale, Thank you so much for your reply. Below is my publication link. I have the full paper with me. But before publication, I have gave copyrights to the publishers. Now can I add the full paper in RG?
Majority of high ranked journals require copy right transfer. After long study and writing, usually we are pressed to publish in such journals as matter of more citation and as indicator of paper (research) quality. So many people have not to much choice...
The biggest irony is I published my paper by paying some amount, And I don't get back anything. But Journal charges from the readers and Now I am afraid of publishing my own work in an Open public forum because I have transferred copyrights to the Journal. Seriously research scholars should claim for certain amount from the Journal or at least copyrights should be with the research scholars.
It depends on the journal, and also your institution to a lesser degree. I publish in top, second, and third tier journals. Top tier journals will send you a takedown notice demanding you delete their version from RG. This is typically done to protect their income from their various paywalls. The second and and third tier journals typically will not do that as they don't have paywalls to protect..
