I have noticed in my various studies that there are cases where theories from one body of discipline do not align to the theories of another. In this case, psychologists would often make statements that totally contradict anthropological theory and evidence. While the existence of multiple contested theories is not uncommon, and not necessarily problematic for academic inquiry, a lack of communication, to the point where two disciplines are essentially developing two different bodies of theory and evidence, seems unacceptable.
