To understand the difference between predatory journals and conferences are very vital in academic and research career. Now many websites are present which lists down the predatory or fake journals and conferences which are banned in some countries and not in others. You can also search in researchgate just typing Blacklisted journals. I am attaching a list which I found long ago searching for fake journals. You can go through the list and discuss with your mentor, colleagues or teachers.
As for me publishing an article needs to balance between lots of factors:
- Time or duration between receiving and publishing.
- quality of the journals is based on publishing in the exact field, for example, your topic is in Accounting, it's good to publish in Accounting journals.
- Scopus is an option we could not ignore it, if you have time.
- The Scopus does not mean good journals.
- At least the journal has indexed under some indexes, like, ICI, Citefactor, The Global Impact Factor (GIF), or others.
