Incase I want to publish an article , is International Journal of Research in Humanities and Social Studies (IJRHSS) , SRYAHWA Publications a reliable and reputed one?
I cannot agree more with what Rob Keller mentioned. The journal is not indexed in Web of Science or Scopus. Its scope is so wide, I wonder if there is a real editorial line. Besides, according to Cabells criteria I would not trust this journal.
One important indicator is whether the journal (or in this case the publisher behind the journal) is mentioned in the so-called Beall’s list (in this case the updated version):

In various questions and discussions it has been argued that the Beall’s list by itself is not enough to give the final judgement on whether a journal (or publisher) is predatory or not. But is a big warning to have a closer look.
In this case there are a number of additional red flags:
-The publisher launched a substantial amount of journals. It is hard to imagine that they are able to hold high standards for such a high amount of journals.
-According to their contact info they claim to be located in Delaware USA. This is a frequently used location by predatory publishers to pretend to be a US based publisher while this is nothing but a ‘construction’. Besides: why pretend to be an American publisher while you are not? See also:
-According to: http://flakyj.blogspot.com/2019/01/we-are-syntax-publishers-spreading.html
Sryahwa and Syntax publishers are linked. Syntax publisher is also mentioned in the updated version of the Beall’s list.
Despite the fact that the website (especially the Syntax one) looks highly professional (they become stronger and stronger to look legit) I estimate that this journal can be better avoided.
Best regards.
PS. If you want to check yourself how to estimate the Beall’s list and how this could help you to judge the quality and legitimacy of a journal see for example:
I cannot agree more with what Rob Keller mentioned. The journal is not indexed in Web of Science or Scopus. Its scope is so wide, I wonder if there is a real editorial line. Besides, according to Cabells criteria I would not trust this journal.
You first weigh the credibility of the journal. As it is not indexed in Web of Science or Scopus, it will not have an "Impact Factor" or "Cite Score", two well known journal metrics. Normally, papers published in journals without IF or Cite Score fetches low value only in academic circles. The title of the journal is also odd.
We have tried to share some of our reflections related to the nature of predatory publishing and how to deal with this in the recently published editorial of the Information Systems Journal:
Indeed, the journal is not mentioned in the so-called stand-alone version of the Beall’s list: https://beallslist.net/standalone-journals/ However as mentioned in my earlier reply on March 19th the publisher behind this journal (SRYAHWA Publications) is mentioned in the publisher version of the Beall’s list (actually in the update version): https://beallslist.net/#update
Together with the earlier mentioned additional red flags I think this is a journal better to avoid.
