Is generalized beam theory (GBT) capable to analyze the interaction between shear buckling and lateral torsional buckling?

I am looking for a suitable way to analyze the interaction between shear buckling and lateral torsional buckling. GBT seems to be capable but most of the papers I can find does not mention shear buckling at all. Is there any reason behind this? or is there any paper on this topic? Any comments are welcome.

It depends on what you define as GBT. You can also incorporate such deformation modes into your GBT, thus to tackle the specific behavior you are after. I did some work on beam theory in my dissertation which can be found at https://cdmhub.org/resources/586.
