English is no longer the language of England or the US or any of the anglophone countries but has become a language of global spread. Though it has provided a powerful tool for communication among countries far flung and culturally diversified, execessive reliance on it poses a threat to the vernaculars and if a language disappears, as we know well, identities of whole nations are also lost. What can be done to preserve the linguistic diversity of different peoples?
