It is my impression that Darwinian Evolution, especially the invocation of Genes, has become too readily accepted; there exists Intellectual Crowd Gathering, just as in other areas of fashion because it is always easier to agree with the Herd than think for oneself.
So, I am hoping for a thread discussion that will present the evidence for Pro and Con.

You are raising a pertinent question, and thank you for raising it: Is Darwinian Evolution Flawless?
I am not an expert in biology nor am I an expert in Darwin's evolution theory. But I know that when it appeared, Darwin's evolution theory was, say, an acid theory because it challenged vested interests, for example, the interests of supporters of creationism.
Gobally speaking, no theory is without problems because no theory is perfect. As Salvador Dali once remarked, we should not be affraid of perfection for we wiil never attain it. By their very nature, theories are not perfect or without flaws. It is because of these that scientific theories are ameliorated or even replaced by, say, better theories.
In the pesonal domain, the best we can do is to look that for excellence, not perfection. I wonder whether this argument can be applied to scientific theories. When we look for perfection we are doomed to becoming frustrated, disappointed, and the like, because we can never attain perfection in our goals, but only excellence. I use to say that the wise man/woman looks for excellence, whereas the ambitious woman/man looks for perfection.
I am looking forward to hearing from those who are experts in biology and in Darwin's evolution theory. So, this is my first reaction to your question.

You intuited that I am disturbed - congratulations. I am
reaching the end of a major study into group relationships,
that I call Politics. My research has deeply disturbed me
because I suspect we are coming to a major Transformation
in Human Affairs. Our traditional method of resolving this is
no longer valid: Violence is no longer useful - Nukes have made
war disastrous but too many invoke Evolution as a justification
for our violent tendencies; I no longer accept this. Hence this thread.

People often resort to a violent act to punish a previous one . In the end, we have, say, two wrongs, instead of one, and two wrongs do not mean one right. I wonder whether this is/is not in accordance with Darwin theory of evolution
