Rupert Sheldrake believes that the following 10 'mechanical' dogmas are holding back science.  Do you agree or not?  If so, why?

--------------------------------------------------------

*1.   Nature is mechanical

*2.   Matter is unconscious

*3.   The laws of nature are fixed

*4.   The total amount of matter and energy is unchanged

*5.   Nature is purposeless

*6.   Biological heredity

*7.   Memories are stored inside of the brain as material traces

*8.   The mind is inside the head

*9.   Psychic phenomena, like telepathy,  are impossible

10.   Mechanistic medicine is the only kind that works - if natural remedy or

other healing practice seems to affect physical healing, this is chance or the placebo effect.
