Most (especially European and Asiatic) Cucujus species (Coleoptera: Cucujidae) are known as rare or threatened or even endangered. Is the same situation in case of the American Cucujus clavipes (which is actually didived into two subspecies)? Is this species legaly protected or included in the Red Data List/Book in any state of the USA or Canada?

This is a more or less old paper I found, but it seems that Cucujus clavipes is quite common in North America and is not included in any list.

Hello Radomir; Mr De Vivo is correct. C. clavipes is readily collected in appropriate habitats. I encounter it regularly in the Sierra Nevada of California.
