One of the assumptions of the Chi-square is that sampling method is preferred to be random.
In my case, I've selected my patients non-randomly (Convenience nonprobable)...since all my patients had melioidosis (infection with bacteria Burkholderia pseudomallei) and I got them after referring to bacterial culture records.
So, if I want to investigate for p value for certain variables among these patients (such as a given risk factor like diabetes and it's relation with sepsis) , still can I use chi-square?
