Currently I am working on Central Rift valley which involves hydrological modeling.The area has serious data scarcity problem. Relatively I have better rainfall data in comparison to other climatic parameters. So I am looking for Rainfall data for one of the stations with large missing data but which is very important for the hydrological modeling and Temperature, Wind speed, Relative Humidity and sunshine hours for all of the stations in the watershed. so my question is which data source should i choose is CFSR a good one? and also do i have to bias correct Rh,Wind speed & Sunshine hour data I got from CFSR? Thank you all in advance.
According to previous study, CFSR has very poor model performance in hydrological model.
Better you can use
TRMM and GPCP dataset for better results
TRMM dataset fits good than CFSR. Many comparative studies are available for reference....
Thank you guys but i am also looking for Relative humidity, wind speed & sunshine hours as the hydrological model also demands those data so my demand is not just for precipitation and temperature but also other climatic data. or does TRMM & GPCP provide me with those also? please excuse my ignorance as i am unfamiliar with world climate data sets?
