Dr. Lena Ericksen has written a book "Stranded On The Shores Of Time," and she addresses the issue of "hyper-individuation" as related to digital media and communications: [email protected]

I've not yet read it, but she is very involved in media and her husband is a graphic designer, and also very attuned to the subject. We briefly touched on the subject of ways that young minds are adapting to new methods and changing in behavior and interpersonal interaction.
