I had submitted a manuscript based on a Psychosexual disorder "Dhat syndrome" in a journal. In that study I did in depth interview in some open ended questionnaire and it was cross-sectional in nature. It did have Quantitative outcomes like physical and somatic symptoms like loss of appetite, loss of sleep etc, depression. and corresponding frequency to these measure.
Hence in Material and Method section I used the term " Mix study design "
But the reviewers are putting a question " Does such study design exist?"
In this perspective , I request if anyone can share a free access like pdf, link, attachment on why we use mix method design or mix study design studies in Psychiatry so that I can address to the reviewer of the journal that using the term mix study design is not incorrect and infact it does exist.

why did you use the term "mix study design" in your paper? i would have asked the same questions as your reviewer...
i think your are talking about "mixed methods", so you should use this term (but not terms like "mix study" or "mix methods").
there are a lot of books and even journals explicitely dealing with mixed methods nowadays. it won't be hard for you to find a lot of stuff there :-)

In general it is not a good idea to argue with reviewers unless you have a strong justification for doing so, which seems to be missing in this case.
The problem with the phrase "mix methods" is that this label does not exist in the literature, in contrast to "mixed methods" with has an extensive body of work behind it. Since you had both quantitative data in the form of frequencies as well as qualitative data, that would meet the general requirements for calling your study mixed methods.
