I hope to find such information from across its North American range as a means of checking a model. I am aware of data for the Great Lakes and from the Chesapeake Bay region so ideally I would like to find info from further North and South.
Thanks Chris. If it is not too much trouble could you scan the appropriate tables and send as an email attachment? My email is [email protected] . I was aware of the Carlander volume but have not yet put my hands on it. Of course the next issue is these are no doubt done with pectoral spines for ages instead of otoliths and they suffer from the same problems as scales for older fish.
See "Growth, Spawning, and Habitat Use of Catfishes in the Delaware River Estuary" by Keller (2010). You can get a PDF by clicking on my profile. Tables 1 and 2 (p.39-40), Figure 6 (p.45), Appendices 5-7 (p.68-70), and Appendix 11 (p.72) all have back-calculated length at age information. Appendix 17 may be the most useful since it contains raw data of weight, length, gender, and weights of organs for A. nebulosus, A. catus, and Ictalurus punctatus. Use the Fish Analysis number to cross reference among tables.
