Could photons exist in two varieties, spin 1 for the normal photon and spin-1/2 for the electron? Dirac believed electrons actually travel at light speed but can only be observed traveling at sub-light speeds. If the electron is a helically circulating spin-1/2 charged photon with the electron's rest mass, this could resolve this apparent paradox about the electron. Maybe matter really is made of "light".
