I want to do an outdoor experiments on a Photovoltaic-thermal collector (PV/T), for a validation of my mathematical model. Since I don't have a Pyranometer, I want to use an alternative solution, and I am thinking about commercial Solarimeters.
PS: The main goal is a good publication.

As Tonny hinted, it is error in the final results produced by utilizing specific meters. You have to be sure that solarimeter gives the real incident solar radiation with acceptable small errors compared to the Pyranimeter. If the solarimeter is calibrated under the operating conditions of your experiment then you can use it while trusting its reading of the incident solar . I would propose that you rent or borrow a Pyranimeter to field calibrate your solarimeter.

In my experience pyranometer is the much more favorable when it comes to research purposes. However sense that you do not have access to it; it is justifiable to use solarimeter in your work but there needs to be a method to ensure amplified output or suitable companion devices/circuits to improve its accuracy. You have a thermal system as well as a PV system which makes the use of any device that only measures visible and near IR energy inadvisable as it won't see a lot of the longer wavelength IR which your system will absorb. As a result you can get misleadingly high values of efficiency, as your measured input power is far less than the total input power. This is the sort of error that experimenters make when they try to make electromagnetic engines with >100% efficiency . . . . and claim that they have succeeded!!

The cheap luxmeter have wrong characteristics for outdoor measurments (by produser propremeditation).
