I'm in the throes of learning R and am working with the book "Getting Started with R" by Beckerman and Petchey. Does anyone have any suggestions for other resources that are less "fluffy" and have more reference images? Thank you!
Skill Share has some really great R resources. There is a fee for the premium service, but they are currently offering one month free. While it may not be super helpful with the initial coding process, there are also some R groups on Twitter, such as @WeAreRLadies , where women in STEM share how they use R in their research and they even have events/meetups. It could serve as not only a way to discover new R applications, but also to expand your network.
I personally took a free online course on edx. Here is the one I took: https://online-learning.harvard.edu/course/statistics-and-r?delta=0. I recommend it, but there are many other free courses that could also be really helpful!
Pluralsight has a wide range of resources that can help one get started with R. It is a premium service, although you can start a free trial which should provide you enough time to familiarize yourself with the course. Here is a link to a search on their service for R related courses: https://www.pluralsight.com/search?q=R&exp=3
