I need to measure Na/K-ATPase manually and the procedure required Oubin which has another name (g-strophanthin).I do not have this compound ...Did you Know any other compound that I can used it in replace of Oubin?
Ouabain is the most selective drug to inhibit Na,K-ATPase in a specific manner...However there is a myriad of other pump inhibitors (but none of them as specific as ouabain). If you want to replace ouabain you can try other CTS as digoxin, bufalin, dicitoxigenin, and others..Palitoxin is also a very potent inhibitor of the pump but all of them are expensive and some of them has restrictions in it´s acquisition because of their high toxicity...Hope I help you...
