The Holy Quran has a great impact on the soul when we listen to it and surrender to its spirituality. At the same time, God commands us to meditate on His judgments and to understand His meanings. In which way are we More attracted?
The prophet , peace be upon him, pointed directly to the rewards of the reciters. Listening is also recommended.
Both reading and listening are useful, but my question is how much influence each has, and which is more effective?

الاستماع للقرآن الكريم وقراءة كلماته طريقتان فاعلتان في استقبال الآيات. وأعتقد أن طريقة الاستماع هي أكثر أثراً لدى سمع المتلقي للقرآن ولاسيما إذا قُرءَ بتجويد وخشوع على أسماع المسلم فتراه يكبر الله ويسبحه ويهلله إجلالاً لعظمة كلمات الله تعالى، حتى عندما نقرأ سيرة قّرّاء القرآن العظماء نرى في صغرهم ثم ريعان شبابهم كثرة تأثرهم السماعي وحفظهم عن شيوخهم
In my opinion, listening is more effective than reading because the Holy Quran was the first stage of receiving the Qur'an it was by listening. Experience also showed that non-Arabic speakers interact with the Qur'an when they hear it, even if they do not understand the meanings of its words.
