I am sure that students today prefer real-world learning materials, as opposed to textbooks and lectures. But often actual authentic material is too difficult for the EFL student's actual ability.

Should we use actual real-world sources for our learning materials?  

Should we use materials created for EFL instruction, but that FEEL like they are from real-world sources, but have controlled difficulty?  

Are there other options for "authentic" learning materials?

Or...do you think this is not a concern.
