Our podocyte cultures are proliferating with commercial RPMI medium, which contains 11 mM of glucose, and also in differentiating state. However, when we have performed glucose experiments on differentiated podocyte cultures, 5.5 mM is considered “normal glucose concentration”, however should be it considered as “low concentration of glucose”? Should be differentiated podocyte cultures maintained with 11 mM before glucose experiments at 15 mM (moderate) and 30 mM (high)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
