I found an Interesting result in investigating the relationship between job stress and clinical competence in clinical nurses (n= 250) in seven university hospital in Iran. I found that, there was a significant positive correlation between clinical competence and occupational stress. As a general rule, it is expected clinical nurses who higher competency would have higher skills and better confidence in doing their tasks, and therefore they would experience less work- related stress. But our findings were the opposite with this general rule. What is your opinion about this finding?
