Do you think publishing an article has more impact for a researcher or publishing a book and chapter?
Yes in general but a good book chapter will also have good impact on researchers

Of course, the main factor affecting is quality. But after the quality, I think article is more influential. Because it usually published in less time and is accessible in more indexes.Journals, in their singular way, compete for impact factors and other measure of comparative citation rates, and even social media impact. They have scores which can be compared, and which academic departments examine as a gold standard of academic achievement.

Publication in journal will have more impact as journal publication will be available to large number of researcher than the book.

I agree with you. I think that the articles will attract more readers and scholars and will have more citations. Especially if articles are published in journals with good indexes like WOS and Scopus.
An important advantage of publishing a book or chapter is that the researcher can publish the results of his or her scientific work without the restrictions of the paper. While article publishing in magazines faces many restrictions, such as the number of words, and the rules that journals have for publishing.
