I used 1 mmol of the template, 3 mmol MAA and 20 mmol of EGDMA. First I tried in 30 ml of ACN and DMSO, it formed a very thick gel after 20 hr polymerization in 60 C. Then I used same mixture but in 60 ml of porogen, it form a lighter gel.. I used 90 ml of the porogen and i had the same result. finally I used 200 ml porogen but the media was too diluted for the polymer to form. I couldn't get the spericals MIP as mention in many journals.

Why does it form that gel/ agglomerate or slurry ? and What should I do to get the spherical MIP in large amount so no need to crushed it? How much is the solvent needed to form spherical MIP?

Can a surfactant help to solve this aggregation problem?

NB. after drying, the produced polymer doesn't give mono-disperse particles in aqueous media, I can still see clumps. However when dispersed in Chloroform and DCM I get a cloudy dispersion without visible particles.
