In CFD using ANSYS, which of the governing equations solve particular parameter; example velocity and pressure fields? How does the SIMPLE algorithm actually work?

The continuity and momentum equations compute velocity and pressure fields Simultaneously.
for determination of temperature, energy equation solves,...
It's fine that the continuity and momentum equation solves velocity and pressure fields. But, how does it work in an algorithm, eg. SIMPLE or PISO?
SIMPLE algorithm, which is semi implicit method for pressure linked equation, iterates as follows,
1. guess pressure and velocity
2. solve the momentum equations for velocity feild
3. solve the pressure correction equation, using the above velocity feild, to get the pressure correction
4. correct the velocity and pressure feilds
5. check for convergence or else go to 2.
