Hello,
i am modelling a flat slab that is loaded upwards at its centre. the slab is reinforced with two meshes of steel bars ( upper and lower mesh), and it's supported at all it's edges. i found that the steel reinforcement only have stress in for S11, is that normal? isn't S11 supposed to be the stress in X direction? or it's the normal stresses in general? knowing that the mesh element type for steel reinforcement is truss element.

I can not understand what kind of element you use for rebars, it changes everything.

Why don't you try embeded region for higher level elements at leas beam element , truss elements may not be suitable for your aim..
